It happens, sort of, in brilliant new video mash-up Golden is The New Black

Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia are nowhere to be seen in a new video mash-up to the classic theme song of the legendary NBC sitcom The Golden Girls.

Instead, we have Orange is the New Black's Piper, Galina, Nicky and Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren who actually urinates during the song. That's something you would never have seen any of The Golden Girls do.

'I don’t care whom you sleep with. It’s "What kind of a human being are you?"'

Betty White says she doesn't understand why there are homophobes in this world.

'I don’t care whom you sleep with,' the 92-year-old TV legend tells Larry King.

'It’s "What kind of a human being are you?" I don’t understand (why people are anti-gay). It’s such a personal private business and it’s none of mine.'

White, who won an Emmy for her first television series Life With Elizabeth in 1951, is currently starring in the hit sitcom Hot in Cleveland.

Watch as Blanche has an epiphany about her gay brother during kitchen table chat with Sophia

If The Golden Girls were on today, Sophia Petrillo would probably have a few things to say, in her funny feisty way, about US President Barack Obama's embrace of gay marriage.

Sophia, played by the late Estelle Getty, was already a gay marriage supporter in this episode of the classic NBC sitcom that ran from 1985-92.

One of her roommates, the narcissistic Southern belle Blanche Devereaux, is fretting because her brother is going to marry another man.
