Eighteen bed residence to be part of Ali Forney Center which had been staunchly supported by the late star

The late Bea Arthur may have been best known for her Emmy-winning roles as Dorothy on The Golden Girls and as Maude Findlay in Maude but she was also a quiet supporter of LGBT causes.

She was especially loyal to the Ali Forney Center, a New York City-based organization that provides emergency and transitional housing for LGBT youth as well as health and educational services.

Where the Bears Are, a new  comedy web series starring three gay bear roommates will be released online on 1 August

From a creative team of experienced TV makers comes a comedy mystery web series following the exploits of three gay bear roommates in Los Angeles.

Dubbed as: ‘Part Murder She Wrote and part Golden Girls,’ the series follows the hairy roommates attempts to solve the murder of a party guest who turns up dead in their bathroom.
