Travel definitely broadens the mind - after a recent visit to Japan, Gay Star Travel compiles a random list of stuff that we now know

I do love Japan. It’s one of those countries that definitely takes you out of your comfort zone - the language, the signage, the culture - it’s one of the few places in the world where (as a visitor) it’s hard not to feel very 'foreign'.

This trip was my second visit to Japan. The first time around was only a quick visit to Tokyo - this time I was working here for three weeks, so it was a good chance to get to grips a bit more with how this country works.

Thugs at a railway station in Mumbai try to blackmail mugging victim by threatening to tell his parents that he is gay

A 28-year-old technician at a pharmaceutical company has spoken out about a homophobic attack last Friday night.

The victim, who is unnamed in a DNA report on the crime, was attacked in the toilet of Vasai Road station in Mumbai on his way home late from work.

'They began raining blows at me and shouted: "Homogiri karne toilet mein aata hai aur abhi sharif banta hai" [you indulge in homosexual acts in the toilet and now you are trying to be decent],' DNA reports.

Nepal's first openly gay politician Sunil Babu Pant opens 'revolutionary' gender-neutral toilet

Nepal's only openly gay politician has opened the south Asian country's first gender-neutral toilet.

The facility, which is labeled for 'third genders' and 'others', is situated in the southern area of Nepalganj.

It was unveiled by Sunil Babu Pant, Nepal’s first openly gay politician and head of gay rights group Blue Diamond Society and the LGBT travel company Pink Mountain.
