Westboro Baptist Church, who has blamed London terror attack and Oklahoma tornado on gays, have had their website hacked by pro-gay activists

The murder of a soldier in south-east London is being blamed on the UK’s acceptance of gay people.

The Westboro Baptist Church, an extremist US Christian organization, posted a message on Twitter saying ‘Fags Doom Nations’ yesterday (22 May).

They created a poster with images of the alleged killers, who are said to have hacked a victim to death while shouting ‘Allah Akbah’ (God is Great).

On the poster, they included phrases like ‘God Hates The UK’, ‘God Curses The Troops’ and ‘God Is Your Terrorist’.

Earlier this week, Libby Phelps-Alvarez appeared on Anderson Live to discuss growing up in the gay hate church and why she decided to leave.

The granddaughter of founder Fred Phelps, she said she thought she had been doing the right thing in spreading homophobia and picketing funerals by the age of eight.

When members of the Westboro Baptist Church showed up at Santa Monica High School today to conduct an anti-gay protest, they were in for a huge surprise.

That surprise was a huge crowd that was on hand to counter-protest the group known to protest at military funerals carrying signs that say such things as 'God Hates Fags.'

The church had protested outside the Oscars on Sunday (24 February) and chose the high school in Santa Monica as its next target because of what it believes is the school's affirmation of LGBT students.
