Gossip reports went crazy after the 16-year-old told rapper Tyler The Creator on Twitter: 'I Think Im In Love With You'

Will Smith's rep is being forced to deny son Jaden is gay.

The Focus star's team responded to the questionable rumors after gossip columnists read too much into a tweet.

One site alone, Media Take Out, reported: 'IT HAPPENED!!! Will Smith’s Son Jaden Smith Comes OUT OF THE CLOSET… He Admitted On Twitter… That He’s GAY!!!'

What had actually happened was Smith sent a tweet directed at Tyler the Creator.

He said: 'I Think Im In Love With You, I Don’t Know I’m Still Figuring It Out But In The Meantime, Happy Birthday.'

Video is approaching 3 million views and generated more than 100,000 comments

Connor Franta has become an even bigger YouTube star since posting his coming out video on Monday (8 December).

The 22 year old reported via Twitter on Tuesday that in the first 24 hours, his video had 2.3 million views, 440,000 likes and generated 110,000 comments.

'I'm speechless,' he tweeted. 'This level of support is amazing. ( feel so loved ... thank you.'

'I sent it because people are raising stupid laws. Period'

Raven Symone doesn't have a lot to say now about taking to twitter last August and writing: 'I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.'

Rumors about her sexuality had long been swirling so reading between the lines, it seemed that the former star of TV's That's So Raven was officially coming out.

It's not something she denies, but she doesn't have a lot to say about it - at least publicly.

Cabramatta Two Blues player Grayson Goodwin has been suspended after a homophobic tweet was sent from his Twitter account despite a friend coming forward to confirm he did not send it

Australia’s National Rugby League code has given footballer Grayson Goodwin a 26 week ban from playing over a homophobic tweet which he fears will end his career as an athlete.

The tweet ‘Gay refs shouldn’t be allowed to ref cause they r so s**t [sic]’ was sent from the Cabramatta Two Blues player’s Twitter account but he insists he did not send it.

The tweet appeared during a South Sydney versus West Tigers game on 21 March but Goodwin insists that a friend sent it from his phone while he was using the bathroom.

'It's a lot to work through as an 8th grade boy'

Josh Elliott, news anchor for ABC's Good Morning America, got personal while guest hosting on The View this week.

Elliott told viewers about how his father's coming out as gay when the journalist was 13 immediately made him wonder about his own sexuality.

'My first feeling when my father told me was loyalty - thinking "I guess I have to be gay too. Maybe I'm gay,"' Elliott said. 'It's a lot to work through as an 8th grade boy.'

Since his father died just two years after coming out to his son, Elliott will be forever grateful for his honesty.

US singer Ashanti has come under fire for mocking a fan on Twitter and accusing him of being a closet gay.

The 'Foolish' singer took to Twitter while watching a football match and asked her followers to pick a team: either the Seattle Seahawks or the San Francisco 49ers.

However, one user of the social media site decided to attack the modest success of her latest single.

The tweeter was referencing her single ‘The Woman You Love’, which only managed to reach number 97 on the Billboard charts in the US.

A gay reporter is claiming a Russian TV station tried to throw him out of a taxi after he spoke out against 'gay propaganda'.

On 21 August, James Kirchick was invited to appear on a news broadcast RT via satellite link from Sweden to discuss Chelsea Manning’s sentencing, following his article ‘Bradley Manning gets off easy’ published at the end of July.

Raven-Symonè didn't actually write the words 'I am a lesbian' in a tweet that spread around the pop culture world like wildfire last Friday (2 July).

But people certainly got that message when she wrote: ‘I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.’

Today, through her representatives, the former star of Disney Channel's That's So Raven and the popular Cheetah Girls movies, issued a statement elaborating on her tweet and clarifying that the actress is not getting married.

Speculation about Raven-Symonè's sexuality has been swirling for awhile but the former star of TV's That's So Raven has steadfsstly refused to confirm or deny anything.

But a posting on her Twitter account today may indicate that she is ready to open up a bit: 'I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.'

Reading between the lines of the tweet, it would seem that the one-time kid on The Cosby Show is referring to one of the recent marriage equality victories.

Sponsor acknowledges plan 'has only further angered and offended the community'

Singer Michelle Shocked is having a hard time living down the anti-gay rant she went on during a concert last March in San Francisco.

Shocked had planned to do a free concert in the city during Pride weekend later this month. But those plans have now been scrapped and the publisher of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper is apologizing for organizing the event.

Publisher Todd Vogt said Shocked was to have performed and apologize for her recent anti-gay comments.

Amanda Bynes referred to the staff of People magazine as 'faggots' in a tweet over the weekend - the latest in an increasingly combative series of tweets in recent weeks.

LeRoy Butler was scheduled for anti-bullying presentation at Wisconsin church

Retired NFL player LeRoy Butler decision to send a tweet of support to now openly-gay NBA player Jason Collins has cost him an $8,500 speaking gig at a Wisconsin church.

Butler, who played safety for the Green Bay Packers, does not name the church but he took to Twitter today to share the fallout from the tweet to which simply read: 'Congrats to Jason Collins.'

Apparently some parents saw the tweet and complained to the church.

Singer Michelle Shocked showed up at the club Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, California, on Thursday (28 March) but instead of performing on stage, she sat outside with tape over her mouth.

Moe's was one of nearly a dozen USA venues that canceled Shocked's appearance after she shocked an audience at a club in San Francisco earlier this month by going on an anti-gay marriage rant.

Port Talbot midfielder Daniel Thomas suspended for one match for telling Olympic divers Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield to 'go bum each other'

Welsh footballer Daniel Thomashas been fined £500 for tweeting homophobic abuse about British Olympic divers Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield.

A disciplinary panel from the Football Association of Wales also suspended the 28-year-old Port Talbot midfielder for one match.

The decision comes after the Crown Prosecution Service ruled out prosecuting Thomas in September, saying it was a 'one-off offensive Twitter message'.

Cleveland Browns linebacker Ricky 'Tank' Carder apologizes for homophobic slur on Twitter

American football player Ricky 'Tank' Carder has apologized for calling someone a 'faggot' on Twitter.

Despite deleting the offensive tweet on Wednesday (21 November), the Cleveland Browns linebacker initially stood by his post.

'Haters gon hate cause that’s what they do, haters don’t give respect where it should be given so I’m done arguing with you fools,' he wrote on Saturday (24 November).

But now Carder has done a U-turn, admitting he was wrong to use the homophobic slur.

Share, 'like' or tweet equal marriage film Homecoming for chance to see it shown in cinemas across the UK

A marriage equality video which shows a British soldier proposing to his boyfriend has been entered into a short film competition, voted for by the public.

The video from pro-gay campaign group Coalition for Equal Marriage went viral on YouTube when it was released in April and has now been viewed over 795,000 times.
