ITV talent show judge Louis Walsh wins payout from The Sun after false claims of a gay sex attack in a Dublin nightclub

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has won €500,000 from The Sun after it falsely claimed he had sexually assaulted a man in a Dublin nightclub following a Westlife concert.

Britain’s most popular tabloid newspaper will make the payout (equivalent to $645,000) after admitting the claim was untrue and the ‘alleged assault did not occur in the first place’.

They said TV talent singing show judge Walsh had groped unemployed dance teacher Leonard Watters at the celebrity club Krystle after a Westlife concert in April 2011.

After months of tabloid speculation, the boyband member has revealed his sexuality and plans to get married

X Factor’s Jaymi Hensley has officially come out as gay.

The Union J boyband member was encouraged by his mentor on the British reality show, Louis Walsh, to reveal his sexuality.

The 22-year-old told The Sun that Walsh said out of the two big boybands he manages there is a gay member so it ‘fits the formula quite well’.

‘Every boyband has got to have a gay one! And Louis just said “do it!”’ he said.

A British tabloid has been ordered to hand over documents relating to a story which falsely claimed music mogul Louis Walsh sexually attacked a man in a toilet.

Leonard Watters, a dance teacher from Ireland, was sentenced to six months in prison over allegations that the X Factor judge groped him in Dublin nightclub Krystle in April 2011.

A dance teacher has been sentenced to six months in prison for falsely accusing X Factor judge of groping him.

A man who falsely accused X Factor judge Louis Walsh of sexually assaulting him has been jailed.

Leonard Watter, a dance teacher from Navan, Co Meath, in Ireland, was sentenced to six months in prison over allegations that the pop music mogul groped him in Dublin nightclub Krystle last April.
