ITV talent show judge Louis Walsh wins payout from The Sun after false claims of a gay sex attack in a Dublin nightclub

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has won €500,000 from The Sun after it falsely claimed he had sexually assaulted a man in a Dublin nightclub following a Westlife concert.

Britain’s most popular tabloid newspaper will make the payout (equivalent to $645,000) after admitting the claim was untrue and the ‘alleged assault did not occur in the first place’.

They said TV talent singing show judge Walsh had groped unemployed dance teacher Leonard Watters at the celebrity club Krystle after a Westlife concert in April 2011.

'Daybreak' showbiz reporter is kicked out of the British reality dancing competition show

Gay showbiz reporter Richard Arnold is the latest celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.

The ‘Daybreak’ TV host and his dance partner Erin Boag left the British dancing competition after finishing in the bottom two alongside Westlife singer Nicky Byrne and newcomer professional Karen Hauer.

Both couples performed their routines for a second time in the dance-off in the Wembley Arena special.

Arnold performed his salsa to Wham!’s Club Tropicana, and Byrne jived to Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock.

Full line-up confirmed for new series of Britain's hit TV show, including Olympic athletes, actors and pop stars

Gay showbiz reporter Richard Arnold will be swapping the glitz and glamor of the red carpet for the sequins and scrutiny of the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.

The journalist who made his name on GMTV will join the British talent show's star-studded line-up, which includes Olympic athletes Victoria Pendleton and Louis Smith, Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, veteran TV presenter Johnny Ball and Westlife's Nicky Byrne.

Band member Nick Carter shows appreciation for gay fans who know how to have a good time

American pop group Backstreet Boys are used to having droves of screaming girls throwing themselves at their feet.

But during their world tour with fellow man band New Kids On The Block, it's been the gay fans who have been catching their eye.

Nick Carter, one fourth of Backstreet Boys recently told UK gay magazine Attitude: 'We've definitely had a huge gay following at the concerts, and we love them. They know how to frickin' party!'

Irish boyband Westlife speak of their own break-up as Mark Feehily and Kevin McDaid separate

Westlife pop star Mark Feehily has split from his partner Kevin McDaid after seven years together.

Irish singer Feehily, 31, told his fans about the separation on Twitter, reports the Daily Mail.

He wrote: 'Sadly, Kevin & I are no longer together. We've had an amazin 7 yrs & are both so thankful for the love & support u have shown us from the start.

'We won't be answering any questions about this as its a very private matter. Thanks in advance for understanding that. Lots of love, Mx.' (sic)
