25-year-old Waleed Saleh Awedan is at least the 35th person murdered by Al-Qaida linked militants on suspicion they are homosexual in Yemen in the last two years

A motorcycle riding gunman has shot dead a 25-year-old Yemeni man on Monday over suspicions he was a homosexual.

Waleed Saleh Awedan was shot near his home in Lahj province in southern Yemen on Monday evening.

Awedan’s death is only the latest in a series of assassinations of suspected homosexuals by Al-Qaida linked militants in the Arabian Peninsula nation.

It is believed that Awedan is at least the 35th person that militants have killed because they believed they were homosexuals in a two year period.

A fifth man believed to be gay has been murdered by the militant Islamist organization

A man was murdered by suspected Al-Qaeda gunmen today (29 August) because they believed he was gay.

A security official claimed the global militant Islamist organization founded by Osama Bin Laden murdered an unsuspecting shopper.

He told the AFP Salam Ahmed Hasan in a market in Huta when armed Al-Qaeda suspects on a motorbike ‘opened fire’.

Hasan is believed to have died immediately.

Four other men, believed to have been gay or effeminate have been killed in similar attacks in Huta.

A fifth man believed to be gay has been murdered by the militant Islamist organization

A man was murdered by suspected Al-Qaeda gunmen today (29 August) because they believed he was gay.

Attorneys in the court-martial of  gay Army Pfc. Bradley Manning made closing arguments last week. His fate now rests with a military judge.

Manning is charged with aiding the enemy (Al-Qaida). If found guilty, he will spend the rest of his life in a military prison.

In late February, Manning pleaded guilty to lesser charges and already faces 20 years of jail time.

The reason for the attack is the victim's alleged gay sexuality.

According to the Associated Press Mohammad Saeed was standing in front of his Huta home, the capital of the southern Lahj province, when he was wounded by an unknown assailant's gun shot.

LGBT Somalis living in Kenya have expressed their fears about returning to their homelands despite calls by the United Nations for refugees to return to rebuild the country.

LGBTs can technically be imprisoned for up to 14 years for same-sex conduct in Kenya compared to 3 years under Somali federal law, but the Al-Shabaab islamist militant group has enforced the death penalty against LGBTs in the areas it holds.

Queen Elizabeth II wanted anti-gay radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri arrested, according to a BBC security correspondent.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has apologized for revealing the private conversation between journalist Frank Gardner and the head of the Commonwealth on Radio 4.

Both Gardner and the BBC said they were sorry for the ‘breach of confidence’, which they both ‘deeply regret’.

Koran-burning independent candidate Terry Jones admits his anti-gay marriage stance may aid bullies

A ban on same-sex marriage is being called for by a pastor as part of his presidential campaign in the United States.

Independent presidential candidate Terry Jones is behind The Stand Up America campaign which claims that same-sex marriage does not represent ‘the foundation of America, or the heart and intentions of our founding fathers.’

Florida based former hotel manager Jones is also anti-Islam and illegal immigrants and organised the International Burn The Koran Day in 2010.
