A coalition of Wyoming attorneys, including a former state Attorney General, have gone public in support of efforts to overturn their state’s constitutional ban on gay marriage

A large group of attorneys in the US state of Wyoming have signed on to a group statement in support of the legalization of same-sex marriage in their state.

The 54 attorneys are the first to join the group Wyoming Lawyers for Marriage and the list include former Wyoming Attorney General Pat Crank, Democratic Representative Mary Throne, Republican Representative Matt Greene, Laramie County District Attorney Timothy Forwood and four University of Wyoming College of Law professors.

Jewlyes Gutierrez has support of more than 200,000 on Change.org petition who don't want her prosecuted for defending herself at school

Battery charges against transgender high school student Jewlyes Gutierrez - filed after she fought with three classmates she said had bullied her for days - could be dropped.

The teen from Hercules, California, must complete a restorative justice program in order for charges to be dropped, according to an agreement reached with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

Jewlyes Gutierrez, a transgender student from Hercules, California, faces battery charges after she was involved in a fight at school last November following what she says were days of bullying by three female classmates.

The teen is not alone is thinking her being prosecuted is unfair.
