Gay Olympic diver beat out celebs like David Beckham, Shayne Ward and Duncan James to win the top 100

Tom Daley may have wowed the world with athleticism, but it is something else that has got readers of a gay magazine sweating.

For the second year in the row, the Olympic diver was announced at the top of Attitude magazine’s 100 Sexiest Men In The World.

Singer Shayne Ward, actor Zac Efron, footballer David Beckham and The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osbourne rounded off the top five.

McFly’s Harry Judd was number six, followed by diver Chris Mears, Blue’s Duncan James, One Direction’s Zayn Malik and Looking’s Russell Tovey finishing the top 10.

The National Gay and Lesbian sports hall of fame in the US has announced a new crop of inductees, and British diving champ Tom Daley is one of them

The National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame in the US has announced British Olympic diver Tom Daley as one of their 2014 inductees.

Other athletes named on the list alongside Daley are retired NBA player John Amaechi, retired rugby player Gareth Thomas and mixed martial artist Fallon Fox.

The hall of fame aims to ‘recognize both individuals and organizations whose achievements and efforts have enhanced sports and athletics for the LGBT community.

Olympic diver wears pink shoes to watch matches from royal box

Olympic diver Tom Daley had an invitation to watch some matches at Wimbledon and wanted to look good for the occasion.

'I'm going to be in the royal box which is pretty cool if you ask me,' he says in a video he posted on YouTube.

But what to wear?

Daley is seen scampering about his bedroom stripping down to his skivvies and quickly putting on trousers, a shirt and a tie and a sportcoat before having a decision to make.

'Pink and white shoes?' he wonders.

He decides on the pink shoes to go with the little bit of pink in his tie.

The US actress took the top spot in the LGBTI awards, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Daley and Stephen Fry are also honoured

US trans actress and activist Laverne Cox was revealed as number one on the World Pride Power list last night (27 June).

The Orange is the New Black actress wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, but sent a video message instead.

‘I hope you can love each other more regardless of who you are or how you identify,’ said Cox. 

Cox has been hailed as one of the most recognizable and successful trans women in popular culture. She has appeared on talk shows with Wendy Williams and Katie Couric and was recently on the cover of Time magazine.

Happy 20th birthday to everyone's favorite British Olympic diver!

Happy birthday Tom Daley!

The gay British Olympic diver is no longer a teenager. He is 20 years old today.

In a world when other 20-year-old celebs, like Justin Bieber, get DUIs and spit in fans' faces, it's nice to know there is a real role model out there for young LGBTI teens.

And it's not like Daley is incredibly ugly either.

Columnist and former Apprentice star expects her 10-year-old son is going to be gay because 'he really likes hairdressing'

Former Apprentice star and controversy-seeking columnist Katie Hopkins has set her sights on gay Olympic diver Tom Daley.

Last December, the 19-year-old athlete came out in a YouTube video.

But while Daley received massive support from the public, Hopkins has derided it as ‘really lame’.

Speaking to Varsity, Hopkins said: ‘It was really lame…we all knew he was gay.

‘People love Tom Daley and the people who watch divers [are the] kind of the people who like to read Women’s Weekly’.

A gay Olympic diver has called a journalist a ‘fucking gay cunt’ today (7 May).

Matthew Mitcham, a gold medallist at the 2008 Olympics, hit out at an Australian Daily Telegraph columnist for an article she wrote defending homophobia.

In the piece, Miranda Devine criticizes the National Rugby League for punishing a 19-year-old Wests Tigers player with a two-week ban for using an anti-gay slur.

The Oscar winner and the Olympic medalist made clear this week that they are very together.

Dustin Lance Black and Tom Daley, a couple for a year now, made their first official public appearance together this week in London at the Inaugural Battersea Power Station and did not shy away from questions about their relationship.

'It’s been crazy since the whole shebang. But it has been fun and everyone’s been really supportive - so it’s all good really,' Daley, 19, told The Sun.

Gay British Olympic diver Tom Daley has scooped his first major LGBTI award at ‘Britain’s gay Oscars’.

The Out In The City and G3 Magazine Awards were presented at a star-studded dinner at London’s swanky Landmark Hotel tonight (25 April).

Other celebrity winners included comedian and TV presenter Paul O'Grady and actress and musician Heather Peace, who shared the Celebrity of the Year accolade.

The Broadcaster of the Year prize went to lesbian BBC News anchor Jane Hill and camp gay comic Graham Norton.

When the Olympic diver came out last year, he received vile homophobic abuse on social media, which has now been used to create his portrait

‘Dirty fag’ and ‘he’s going to hell’ were just some of the insults thrown at Tom Daley when he came out in December 2013.

Now a UK artist has taken all the vile anti-gay slurs aimed at the British Olympic diver and turned them into art.

UK based artist Conor Collins created the portrait of Daley by using all the horrible homophobic names he was called on social media when he revealed his sexuality.

Collins revealed the finished portrait on his Twitter account this week (17 April).

Gay diver is supporting the opening of the Olympic park, hoping the legacy of 2012 will be able to continue into the future

Gay diver Tom Daley is calling for the public to come watch him in his speedos, practice his diving, and to carry on the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Speaking in a new video, Daley has given his support for visitors to make the most of what the Olympic Park has to offer, which will be open for the first time on 5 April.

Some lucky visitors will even be able to watch Tom practice his diving in the Aquatics Centre.

Tom Daley has officially come out as gay.

After the 19-year-old Olympic heartthrob said he still liked girls in his coming out video four months ago, he seems to have had a change of heart.

‘I am a gay man now,’ the diver said. ‘I came out on YouTube as I wanted to say what I wanted to say without anyone twisting it.

‘I told my family before I told the world. I was terrified.’

Men and women who like men are in mourning after learning they may lose their weekly dose of seeing British Olympic diver Tom Daley in his skimpy speedos.

As British reality TV show ‘Splash’ is reportedly facing the axe after ratings took a dive for the worse.

The ITV show pulled in disappointing numbers for the final, with only 4.4 million tuning in compared to last year’s 6.5 million.

The Sun reports ITV bosses are now considering scrapping the diving competition.

Casey Stoney, one of the greatest soccer stars in the UK, has spoken about her sexuality publicly for the first time

England’s women football captain Casey Stoney has revealed she is gay.

The Arsenal ladies defender is the latest sportsperson to come out following NFL hopeful Michael Sam, former international soccer star Thomas Hitzlsperger and Olympic diver Tom Daley.

Stoney, inspired by Daley, said she wanted to make it public to help other young people struggling with their sexuality.

‘I feel it's really important for me to speak out as a gay player because there are so many young people struggling with being gay,’ she told BBC Sport.

When Dustin Lance Black went to Russia last month for a special screening of the film Milk, it was his boyfriend, Olympic diver Tom Daley, who was getting the headlines for coming out.

Top Brazilian diver said he was told to stay in the closet until after the Rio Summer Olympics 2016

Brazilian diver Ian Matos has announced he is gay, saying he was inspired Tom Daley.

The top level diver says a friend told him to stay closeted until after the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Currently based in the Olympics host city Rio de Janiero, he told Correio: ‘From a young age, I knew I was gay, but it was here that I got to live my sexuality.’

Matos said the pressure of hiding his relationships, and avoiding going to gay nightclubs, proved to be too much stress.

British ator Russell Tovey has revealed he chatted with Tom Daley after the young diver came out.

The 32-year-old actor said he was very impressed by the way Daley came out, saying it was ‘very casual, not even beautifully lit, just him lying on his bed’.

‘I messaged him and said, “I’m proud of you, it’s brilliant what you’ve done, mate”.

‘He just said, “Thanks”. He’s really sweet,’ he told the Evening Standard.

Olympic diver Tom Daley and actor Dustin Lance Black have made their relationship public for the first time.

The two had regularly hinted they were dating, swapping pictures on Instagram of presents they sent each other.

But now they have celebrated the start of Daley’s new series of celebrity TV diving contest Splash with a romantic night out, followed by clubbing at legendary London venue G-A-Y, where Daley met X Factor finalist Luke Friend.

They started last night (4 January) with a romantic meal.

Reality show star complains he does not get the same recognition because he has always been open about his sexuality

X Factor UK loser Rylan Clark has complained about the attention Olympic diver Tom Daley has got for coming out.

The TV personality, who won Celebrity Big Brother in January this year, congratulated the diver but said it wasn’t ‘big news’.

Clark told The Sun: ‘Not to take anything away from Tom, it is still hard to come out, but I haven’t come out as gay yet I don’t think.

‘What about people like Alan Carr, Gok Wan, Graham Norton and me – people who are on TV who have never hidden their sexuality?

‘What do we get? We don’t get recognition.

Hot new couple Olympic diver Tom Daley and Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black both got some fancy footwear for Christmas.

Both have posted photos on social media of their feet in rainbow pride socks.

Black posted his photo on Facebook with the message 'Thanks mom!' on it.

Daley's sock photo on Instagram simply said: 'Ha!'
