Rear wheel drive, reasonable to run, a hoot to thrash and all for a smidgen under £25k... could the GT86 be the best pound for pound sports coupe on the market?

When I started writing this column last year my underlying aim was to encourage you, my readers, to seek out the fun in driving again.

That joy has been diluted (if not lost altogether with urban driving) what with over-crowded roads, speed cameras, emissions regulations... yawn! Where better to learn to drive in all sorts of hazards than at the home of British racing in Porsche’s latest range

Meeting Mike Orford (Head of Porsche’s PR in the UK) and his team at a press testing day last October, I’d introduced myself as the new motoring hack at GSN hoping I may get the opportunity to jump in one of their range for a brief test. This week I’ve surveyed 100 gay men around the world to find our what they have for breakfast. It may not be the most rigorous of studies, but it’s a pretty strong sample of gay men primarily in the 25 to 45 age bracket and a good mix of global locations including the US, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, France, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.
