More and more gay people are flocking to get non-surgical procedures, so we ask a nurse why laser hair removal treatment is becoming so popular

Laser hair removal treatment is one of the fastest growing nonsurgical cosmetic procedures on the market.

In the US alone, nearly 900,000 people chose to get rid of unwanted hairs in 2012.

For some, it is a way of never having to deal with shaving rashes or the pain of waxing again.

And for some trans people, it is one of the only ways they can best manage their bodies during and after their transition.

From simple procedures like botox and laser hair removal to breast enhancement, we ask a nurse why LGBT people are seeking cosmetic treatments to boost their confidence

What comes to mind when you think of surgery? For me, it used to be men and women striving for a Ken and Barbie look they’ll never quite achieve.

In the US alone, over 9million people chose to get cosmetic surgery in 2011. And as techniques and expertise have improved over the years, so, in many cases, have the results.

For some trans people, it is the only way they can be happy in the skin they are in. For some people with no confidence, it can lift their spirits.

And she says Archbishop Vincent Nichols and his church have become obsessed with gay sex, ignoring the real problems of society – the economy, schools, hospitals and our children’s future.

'I think people get too caught up in it. I don't stress about it'

Guillermo Diaz is one of the busiest openly gay actor in Hollywood but he goes about his work without any of the attention that accompanies every career move of Neil Patrick Harris or Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

But that seems to suit this 37-year-old just fine as he takes on roles both gay and straight in television and film. He currently plays the role of Huck, an ex-CIA agent turned computer hacker, on the ABC series Scandal which will return for a second season this fall.
