Does it matter if people still think of certain jobs as ‘gay’? And do the people in those professions mind?

If you met a man and he told you that he was an air steward, would you wonder if he was gay?

Nowadays, most people appreciate that gay people are found in every walk of life and in every place of work.

In fact, in Pride festivals around the world, people sometimes make a point of marching in their work outfit to drive the point home. Certainly, in the UK, the sight of LGBT police, army and navy is not uncommon at the bigger Pride parades.

No, I’m not going to give any spiritual lectures but I am going to share my belief that the biological function of all living things – their basic scientific purpose – is to reproduce. The same is true of humans – straight or gay.
