Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and Matt Boimer to lead the cast of long-awaited film about AIDS crisis  written by Larry Kramer

After decades of development, The Normal Heart will begin shooting in New York City later this year to air on HBO in 2014 with Ryan Murphy as its director, the network announced Friday (4 January).

The film is written by Larry Kramer who also wrote the largely autobiographical Tony Award-winning play on which it is based. It is about the rise of the AIDS crisis in New York City between 1981 and 1984.

The transgender author and activist has been struggling with his weight for several years and currently tips the scales at 250 pounds.

Bono, 43, opens up about his weight struggles to ER physician Dr. Travis Stork, co-host of the syndicated television show The Doctors in an episode airing Wednesday (14 November).

Citing the Bible, Judge Bill Graves says transgender men and women are changing their names for 'fraudulent purposes'

An Oklahoma judge has sparked fury after not allowing transgender people to change their names legally.

Local newspaper The Oklahoman reports Oklahoma County district judge Bill Graves, a former state legislator, cited the Bible in disallowing the name changes, claiming trans people are ‘making the changes for fraudulent purposes’.

CBS has just announced the line-up for the upcoming season of The Amazing Race and among the teams are Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcel who are better known as TV’s The Fabulous Beekman Boys.

Kilmer-Purcel is a best-selling author and advertising executive and Ridge is a physician and former vice president at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
