Hardy portrays Ronald and Reggie Kray (aka the Kray Twins) who ran East London’s underworld in the 1950s and '60s

It's already known that Tom Hardy will portray gay singer Elton John in an upcoming biopic.

Now it turns out that the gangster twins he plays in the film Legend - Ronald and Reggie Kray (aka the Kray Twins) - were also both gay.

The film is currently in production and is expected to be released in 2015. It tells the story of the infamous twins who started a gang that ran East London’s underworld in the 1950s and '60s called The Firm.

Opera singer Tamar Iveri was let go by Opera Australia and La Monnaie opera company of Brussels after a homophobic post appeared on her Facebook account, but she is now planning a charity concert for LGBTI rights in the Georgian capital

Opera singer Tamar Iveri has announced plans for an LGBTI rights charity concert to be held in Tblisi on 11 October.

Iveri announced the plans at a press conference with Georgian LGBTI rights group Identoba and has called for other artists and performers to donate their talents to the charity event, which is being held on world National Coming Out Day.

Jamie Lambert, who won Britain’s Got Talent with his bandmates Collabro, has come out as gay.

The singer, who performs in the musical theatre/classical singing group, said no one asked him if he was gay – so he didn’t feel the need to speak about it.

The 24-year-old told The Sun: No one asked — I have nothing to hide from anybody.

‘I think it’s really important that all gay people in the public eye just talk about it. The more that happens, the more normal it becomes.

US country music legend Dolly Parton has revealed she loves her gay fans so much that she has made a song just for them.

Parton was speaking to reporters at a press conference last week, promoting her current world tour, which is coming to a close tonight (14 July).

The ‘Jolene’ singer said she has a special song for her gays fans.

‘At some point I would like to do a dance record and I have several songs that are very positive towards the gay community,’ said Parton.

US singer Tori Amos has said she chose to cover a song by a famous lesbian duo, as anti-gay Russian leader Putin was scheduled to make a speech on the same stage.

Amos covered the song ‘Not Gonna Get Us’ by Russian lesbian pop duo t.A.T.u at a concert in Moscow last month, during her tour.

During a recent episode of CBS's Big Brother, male contestants Zach Rance and Frankie Grande were laying on a bed together.

Zach, the straight one, said softly to his gay friend: 'Frankie, can you just like caress me.'

They then began to spoon.

Grande, the brother of singer Ariana Grande, and Rance are the season's first big 'showmance' and have given themselves the moniker of 'Zrankie.'

The openly gay star defied protests and performed two concerts in the country last year amid the storm over the country’s law banning the promotion of homosexuality.

In recent interviews, the Rocket Man singer has said he has asked for a meeting with Putin to discuss the homophobic law.

Speaking about gay marriage, John believed Jesus would not have stopped gay clergy or congregation from marrying someone of the same sex.

Gay UK singer Will Young has been the victim of homophobia in London, at the same time the UK capital is celebrating gay pride (28 June).

Young revealed on Twitter today he had been targeted because he is gay.

‘Would you believe on the day of Gay Pride I have been the victim of homophobia. I am SO mad. #pride2014,’ tweeted the singer.

The 35-years-old’s followers were quick to send him messages of support.

It is now confirmed that the X Factor winner will no longer release any music under the Syco label

James Arthur, the winner of The X Factor in 2012, has been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label.

It was first reported in April Syco had dropped the 26-year-old, but Arthur has denied any split before now.

He had his own microphone.

'Happy pride!' he would yell out if the crowd seemed a bit too subdued.
