While Kristin Chenoweth is as Christian as they come, that does not mean she’s anti-gay.

In fact, this LGBT ally believes people who use the Bible for hate is the complete opposite of what Jesus taught.

While many know Chenoweth from television appearances in shows such as Glee, The West Wing and Pushing Daisies, this sweet-as-apple-pie actress is a singer at heart.

She originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, a musical celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

Modern Family star engaged to Justin Mikita says wedding planner taking care of everything

Yes, Jesse Tyler Ferguson is getting married.

And yes, he's a gay man.

But that doesn't mean the Emmy-nominated Modern Family star is obsessing over every detail when it comes to his wedding to lawyer Justin Mikita.

'No Groomzilla here,' Ferguson, 37, tells People.com with a laugh. 'We have a really great wedding planner who is managing everything. It's been very exciting. I'm very picky about things, and everything is coming together nicely.'

Gay star says the chance to work with puppets is 'like kryptonite for me'

On How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris dreams of seducing women. But on his new web series, he dreams in puppet.

The Emmy winning actor debuted a new web series this week called Neil's Puppet Dreams with six more episodes to follow - one per week. Harris interacts with Jim Henson puppets in a dream state in the quirky series on Chris Hardwick's Nerdist channel.

Harris was part of a previous success that originated on the web: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. He was eager to experience that kind of creative freedom again.

He and fiance Justin Mikita have also launched non-profit called Tie the Knot to benefit LGBT equality

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced his engagement to lawyer Justin Mikita Wednesday (19 September) via YouTube in a video that also announced the couple's new non-profit organization benefiting LGBT equality.

'It's true, I popped the big Q,' the Emmy-nominated actor said.

Mikita, sitting next to Ferguson on a sofa excitedly told viewers: 'I said yes!'

Steve Levitan: 'We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal'

Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, says her favorite show is the ABC comedy Modern Family which features the gay couple of Cam and Mitch.

The couple are raising an adopted daughter in the Emmy-winning show that revolves around Cam and Mitch as well as the families of Mitch's father and sister.

The show's creator and executive producer Steve Levitan took to Twitter to respond to the potential First Lady's television taste which would seem to fly in the face of her husband's political stance against gay marriage.

Jane Lynch was host of the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr over the weekend and couldn’t resist taking a jab at a fast food chain that doesn’t think marriages like hers to Dr. Lara Embry should be allowed to happen.

Before introducing the evening’s honoree, The Emmy-winning Glee star took not of the female roasters on hand including Carrie Fisher, Katey Sagal and Ellen Barkin and cracked: 'This show is serving up more old spoiled hens than a Chick-Fil-A.'

Then she added a real zinger.

'Oh, that reminds me… Fuck Chick-fil-A.'

Cam and Mitch want more money.

Well, at least the actors who portray the gay couple on ABC's Modern Family do.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet have joined castmates Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara on Tuesday (24 July) in suing to void their contracts on the Emmy winning show.

Chaz Bono is a single man for the first time in his life and it's taking some getting used to.

'I'm not the most outgoing fella,' he told CNN's Piers Morgan in an interview Thursday (7 June). 'I'm not one of those guys who can just walk up and start chatting up a girl that I find attractive.'

Bono split from fiance Jennifer Ella last December. They had been together since 1999, initially as a lesbian couple. Elia has described herself as a bisexual.

'It was like small talk, but he didn’t really hear a word I said,' the Emmy winner tells Politico. 'It affirmed for me that the guy does not know how to relate to people.'

Steve Levitan says Cam and Mitch have been embraced around the world

While gay marriage has been a hot topic in the GOP presidential primaries, Modern Family creator Steve Levitan told TV critics Tuesday (10 January) that there has been very little pushback about his show's gay couple.

'To the far-right, watch the show and I kind of dare you to not love Cam and Mitch,' Levitan said. 'I'm pleasantly surprised to the world's reaction to that part of our modern family.'

Actress who won Emmy for TV series Family wants to help bullied kids

Kristy McNichol, an actress who came to fame in the late 1970s as one of the stars of the ABC drama Family, has come out publicly as a lesbian.

Now 49, the Emmy winner has been out of the spotlight for much of the past 20 years with her last major role being the NBC sitcom Empty Nest.

According to a People.com story posted Friday (6 January), McNichol decided to come out now because she wants to help kids who are being bullied.

Chaz Bono splits from Jennifer Elia after more than a decade together

Television viewers saw them get engaged just last month on the documentary Being Chaz but it was confirmed today that Chaz Bono and Jennifer Elia have split up.

Bono's publicist, Howard Bragman, tells TMZ.com: 'They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another. No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.'
