It’s official! The results of the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey results have been announced. And for fans of equality (and a good wedding), it’s good news!
The numbers were revealed on the Australian Bureau of Statistics website on 15 November 2017.
Almost 80% of eligible voters – about 12.6 million people – submitted their opinion in the non-compulsory, non-binding postal survey. That’s a greater percentage of people than voted in Ireland’s referendum on the same issue and Brexit in the UK.
It is of course such amazing news – congratulations the country of Australia!
Here, we celebrate with a whistle-stop tour of some of Australia’s most romantic and amazing landscapes, perfect for a proposal, wedding or maybe a honeymoon… Enjoy!
