Actor Charlie Carver, who came out as gay in January, is returning to series television with his twin brother Max.
The pair will play long-lost twin brothers in the MTV series Bloom who did not learn about each other until in they are in their 20s and their father is murdered.
It’s complicated because the twins have inherited their late father’s secret criminal empire, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Bloom is from Universal Cable Productions and Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films and the Carver twins will also serve as co-executive producers.
‘So excited to finally share the news!’ Charlie Carver wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday (5 May). ‘Thank you @mtv and @drewbarrymore … This is our first project in front and behind the camera. Thanks @maxcarver for keeping the faith and helping our idea flower #Blooms.’
The brothers, who are 27, first appeared on television on ABC’s Desperate Housewives as Porter and Preston Scavo, sons to the characters played by Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant.
They then moved on to MTV’s Teen Wolf where Charlie Carver’s character of Ethan was gay. The twins most recently appeared in the first season of HBO’s The Replacements.
