Who is President Trump’s new favorite gay writer, Adam Levine?

Adam Levine, appearing on Fox News

Adam Levine is a gay Republican and a contributing writer for The Federalist. And no, he’s not the lead singer for Maroon 5.

In fact, President Donald Trump just tweeted his personal thanks to Levine.

The writer went on Fox News and allegedly called Trump ‘the greatest President our Country has ever seen.’

Levine opened the interview: ‘We’ve become so openminded right now in our society that our brains have fallen out.’

He goes on to talk about the anti-Trump bias he felt growing up.

‘I am a Donald Trump supporter’

But the interview all came about through an opinion piece he wrote on Tuesday (9 January). The title of the piece was Coming Out As A Republican To My Democrat Family Went Worse Than Coming Out Gay.

In it, he writes about how his family indoctrinated him into becoming a Democrat.

He came out when he was 20 years old, but says coming out as a Republican provoked a much worse reaction from friends and family.

Levine writes: ‘A number of my friends no longer have time to see me. Lifelong acquaintances now regard me with fear and distrust. I have been unfriended en masse on social media and excoriated by friends who deign to remain. And I have been singly excluded from social gatherings when the rest of my family was invited.

‘No, I am not a sex offender. I am something even worse than that.’

He confesses: ‘I am a Donald Trump supporter.’

Levine writes about his liberal upbringing, as well as reconciling his sexuality with his being a Republican.

He writes: ‘I did not even bother going to gay pride because it was fused with a Resist march. If you do not want to impeach our president, you have no place in gay life.’

He describes the Harvey Weinstein scandals as ‘the last straw’ to his ties with liberalism.

Levine says: ‘The media outlets that had enabled and covered up his indiscretions for years were the same major public voices for the Democratic Party.

‘The game was up,’ he said.
