Anderson Cooper and hunky partner – both shirtless – hang out with elephants

Anderson Cooper washes an elephant at a sanctuary in Myanmar.

Anderson Cooper can be seen washing and feeding elephants in some Instagram photos he posted today from Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp near Kalaw in Myanmar.

The elephants have been rescued after decades working for the timber industry.

The CNN anchor also included a photo of very buff longtime partner Benjamin Maisani, also shirtless, with Argentine artist Pablo Raimondi who is best known for his work on Marvel limited series Books of Doom.

Cooper has been in a relationship with Maisani for more than seven years but has remained mostly low-key about it.

But there are some signs that they are growing slightly more comfortable in the spotlight. The couple have been photographed actually holding hands on a few red carpets.

Cooper and Maisani, 43, met in 2009 and live together in a renovated firehouse in Greenwich Village.

They own several other homes including one in Brazil. Maisani owns three popular gay bars in New York City: Easternbloc, Bedlam Bar & Lounge and Atlas Social Club.

Cooper is likely in Myanmar working on a story for the CBS newsmagazine 60 Minutes for which he is a regular correspondent.
