Andrew Rannells and Jane Lynch are joining Michelle Obama as guest stars in the new season of Will & Grace.
Jane, of course, is best-known as the monstrous Sue Sylvester on Ryan Murphy’s super camp high school dramedy Glee.
Andrew, meanwhile, is best-known as bitchy Elijah on Lena Dunham’s seminal HBO show Girls.
The pair will appear on the same episode of Will & Grace.
Creators recently released a new extended teaser trailer of the show, starring Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes.
‘Strangely, not the first time I have been called a “queer spectacle for the ages”‘
Taking to Instagram, Andrew quoted one cultural critic to comment on the news.
He said: ‘Strangely, not the first time I have been called a “queer spectacle for the ages.” #dreamcometrue’
The ep in question begins production next week.
Back in the show’s heyday, it attracted guests stars such as Madonna, Janet Jackson and Cher.
The announcement continues a great week for Jane. On Sunday, she won an Emmy for her role in queer comedy Dropping the Soap.
Following her Emmy win, Jane spoke to Variety about where she keeps her awards, Jane said: ‘I made room. I have a shelving unit as you walk into my house and they are humbly on the top shelf so you don’t look right at them.’
Will & Grace returns to NBC on 28 September.
