Barbie is now officially part of the LGBTI community.
The doll is a childhood icon.
A tweet of a recent post on the Barbiestyle Instagram went viral.
The picture showed Barbie sat with another female, and a small dog. Both females are seen sporting ‘Love Wins’ t-shirts.
The tweet announced that Barbie is ‘gay now’. It has over 150,000 likes and 50,000 retweets.

The doll pictured with Barbie is the (doll form) of fashion and interior design blogger Aimee Song.
Aimee has featured on Barbie’s Instagram four times recently.
She took to her own Instagram to say: ‘Me and @BarbieStyle supporting equal rights because #LOVEWINS.
‘Or as some of you have speculated, maybe we’re secretly dating.’
This is not the first time Barbie has posed intimately with another female.
Two previous posts see her linking arms and holding hands with females.
While some are celebrating Barbie as a new gay icon, others are pointing out that Barbie could be bisexual or pansexual.
Comments on her Instagram read ‘BI QUEEN’ and ‘BARBIE SWEETY YOU’RE DOING GREAT #bicon.’
Regardless of her sexuality, Twitter welcomed Barbie into the LGBTI community with open arms.
