Barefoot Wine and Bubbly is encouraging you to wear and not care!

Dust off the feather boas: Wear What You Want Day is back on Friday 9 September!

The Barefoot Wine and Bubbly crusade is now in its second year. It encourages people to rock the outfit they’ve been too afraid to try.

That could mean challenging gender norms with a dress, flipping the bird to age-appropriateness with a leotard. Or, simply trying out the color you’ve always loved but felt reluctant to explore.

Or, perhaps, wearing skintight animal print like former Britain’s Got Talent star La Voix [above].

To win a case of your favourite Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, share your Wear What You Want Day outfit online using #WearWhatYouWantDay #Sweepstake on Facebook or Twitter tagging @BarefootWineUK*

The movement follows research last year that 70% of the British public feel constrained by societal expectations regarding what they put on.

The research also found that 23% of men have considered wearing heels and 66% wearing skirts.

Meanwhile 83% of female respondents said they’d like to see a cultural change so everyone can don what they like all the time.

Barefoot Wine and Bubbly, a sponsor of Gay Star News, has been celebrating diversity and inclusivity for over 30 years
