The US beer brewing company MillerCoors reaffirmed its dedication to the LGBTI community.

Through its nationwide program Tap Into Change, the company donated $72,000 to the community. The program is in its sixth year and has so far donated $175,000 to programs focused on equality.

MillerCoors works with bars and restaurant through the program. They promote equality by donating a percentage of sales to nonprofits dedicated to helping the LGBTI community.

‘We are thrilled with the results of this year’s Tap Into Change program,’ said Karina Diehl, director of community affairs in a statement. ‘As a company that celebrates Pride all year long, we’ll continue to extend our support to the LGBTQ community through long-standing partnerships, like HRC, and our employee resource group: LAGER (LGBTQ and Allies Group Employee Resources).’

Last year, the brewing company received HRC’s Corporate Equality Award. It was announced today Lyft is receiving that award this year.

For the past 14 years, HRC has given MillerCoors a 100 percent rating on its Corporate Equality Index.

The company has also partnered with the Matthew Shepard Foundation and other organizations.

Jason Bricker, Director of Corporate Relations at HRC said: ‘Complementing their inclusive policies, MillerCoors has been a visible force within the LGBTQ community for many years and has showcased this support loud and proud.’
