Actress Bella Thorne has hit back at Whoopi Goldberg who appeared to criticize her over her leaked nude photos.
During an episode of talk show The View, Goldberg claimed that Thorne ‘shouldn’t have taken nude photos of herself’.
Bella Thorne released her own nudes
Earlier this week, the 21-year-old bisexual actress has posted a lengthy note on her Twitter page, alongside nude photos of herself.
Thorne explained her phone had been hacked and that she was being blackmailed. Therefore, she decided to take ‘her power back’ by posting the pictures herself.
Whoopi Goldberg, together with other hosts Meghan McCain, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin, discussed whether that was the right move.
Whoopi Goldberg about Thorne
The Golden Globe-winning actress and comedian suggested Thorne might be to blame for the incident.
‘Listen, if you’re famous, I don’t care how old you are. You don’t take nude pictures of yourself,’ Goldberg said.

Thorne was also the focus of insensitive jokes by Behar. Upon showing a picture of Thorne to the audience, the comedian said, ‘Oh, she’s fully clothed here!’
The model tearfully hits back
Bella Thorne clapped back at the show’s co-hosts in her Instagram stories.
‘I’m not gonna lie, I want to say I feel pretty disgusting, ya know… I feel pretty disgusting, Whoopi,’ Thorne said in the video.
‘Knowing everyone seen my shit. And I just want to say that me watching this interview made me feel bad about myself. And I hope you’re happy. I hope you’re so fucking happy. I can only imagine all the kids who have their shit released and then they commit suicide ya know… you’re so crazy for thinking such terrible things on such an awful situation.’
‘Saying if you take a sexy photo then basically it deserves to be leaked like… don’t be surprised at all and don’t feel sorry for yourself,’ Thorne also said.
‘So if I go out to a party drinking and I want to go dancing on the dance floor… do I deserve to be raped too?’
Thorne also revealed she was supposed to appear on The View, but she is no longer going.
‘I don’t want to be beaten down by a bunch of older women for my body,’ the actress said.
Twitter is having mixed reactions
Many of Bella Thorne’s stans are standing with her and criticized Whoopi Golberg for her statements.
Shame on @WhoopiGoldberg for shaming @bellathorne bc someone threatened her and making an already terrible situation, even more disgusting. Women should never tear another woman down and blame them for being attacked, physically or mentally. 🖕🏻 https://t.co/ppDI3W2iKe

4. Side note: @WhoopiGoldberg, please stop with your victim blaming bullshit over this issue. And anyone who wants to get judgemental about taking naked photos can also STFU.

Others, however, believe Thorne’s releasing her own photos might be a publicity stunt ahead of her book release. Thorne’s book The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray will be out on 23 July.
Another Twitter user thinks Whoopi Golberg’s comments weren’t blaming Thorne for her situation.
Im confused as to why y’all mad about Whoopi said abt Bella Thorne. She didn’t blame Bella for her situation. She said there are creeps out there who are hacking celebrities for the fun of it. Either be smart and not take nudes or understand what could happen if you do take them pic.twitter.com/X8Y5pAzR6i
