Billy Eichner, Tiffany Haddish hit the streets of NYC to cast diverse Hocus Pocus remake

Billy Eichner and Tiffany Haddish

In the latest episode of Billy on the Street, Billy Eichner and celebrity guest Tiffany Haddish went on the hunt for diverse people to join their Hocus Pocus remake.

Eichner hosts the show, where he runs around New York City with celebrities and yells at strangers. He sometimes even gives them a dollar for answering inane and hilarious questions.

This time — with Halloween around the corner — Eichner and Haddish are looking for someone diverse to complete their trio of witches for a (fake) remake of the 1993 classic Hocus Pocus.*

This means when they run into a straight, white man, they immediately bolt.

The joyous celebrations of people’s diversity in the video are contagious, but they can also be a little frightening.

When Eichner and Haddish run into a woman from China, Eichner asks her if she’s straight or gay. The woman responds that she’s a lesbian and Eichner, in line with his loud and exaggerated demeanor, immediately shouts ‘YES!!!’ and jumps up and down. Understandably, the Chinese woman then cowers behind her friend.

In another moment, the duo approaches a man and asks if he wants to be part of their woke Hocus Pocus remake (or Wokus Pocus).

A little unsure, the man says ‘sure’. When Eichner asks if he’s straight and the man says no, Eichner asks further.

‘I’m bi,’ the man says.

‘Yes!!! A bisexual witch!! We did it!!’ Eichner screams and runs away. Honestly, so relatable.

If only this remake were real…
