On her birthday, Rosie O’Donnell has message for bitter foe Donald Trump

Donald Trump opposed gay marriage.

It’s hard to believe now, but Rosie O’Donnell attended Donald Trump 1993 wedding to Marla Maples – the second of the Republican presidential front-runner’s three marriages.

It’s been downhill since then and comes as no surprise that on her 54th birthday Monday (21 March), O’Donnell posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a cap which read: ‘Make Donald Drumpf again.’

Drumpf is the original surname of Trump’s family.

The bad blood between Trump and O’Donnell dates back a decade and resurfaced last summer.

During the first Republican presidential debate in August when moderator Megyn Kelly asked Trump about his various insults aimed at women over the years.

‘You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,’ Kelly began before being interrupted by Trump who said: ‘Only Rosie O’Donnell.’

Kelly replied: ‘No it wasn’t. For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell.’

The audience laughed.

‘For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell,’ Kelly responded before continuing her question.

O’Donnell soon tweeted: ‘try explaining that 2 ur kids.’

The Trump-O’Donnell feud began nearly a decade ago when O’Donnell, during her first stint as a co-host on ABC’s The View, ridiculed Trump for his handling of a Miss USA controversy calling him a ‘snake-oil salesman’ and mocked his hairstyle.

Trump responded by unleashing a tirade of insults aimed at O’Donnell’s weight (she has since lost more than 50 pounds) and has called her a ‘loser’ various times.

‘She’s an extremely unattractive person who doesn’t understand the truth. … I think she’s a terrible person … She has failed at everything she has done… She’s a bully and she sucker punches people,’ Trump said on CNN’s Larry King Live at that time.

O’Donnell, who rejoined The View in September 2014 the left again in February 2015, reflected on the Trump insults last year.

‘Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child,’ she told People Magazine. ‘It was national, and it was sanctioned societally. Whether I deserved it is up to your own interpretation.’

hats arrived – HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 ME!! #drumpf
