Boy George may have first become a star more than three decades ago but to Dior Homme, he’s very now.
The luxury designer fashion label which also sells cosmetics, jewelry and other accessories has made the Culture Club singer one of the faces of its spring 2017 campaign.
George is featured along with Rami Malek, model Ernest Klimko and A$AP Rocky.
He proudly posted some of the images from the campaign on his Instagram account today.
‘I really tried to translate what I think Dior Homme is right now,’ Artistic Director Kris Van Assche tells WWD.
‘It’s about music, it’s about cinema, it’s about fashion…It’s about a certain memory I have of the Eighties that remains very much relevant for 2017.
‘Boy George, when I was a kid, was one of the first to have this message about difference being okay; he was such a major influence on my generation.
‘That idea of freedom and being a rebel—which he still is—is really something that has stayed with me.’
George is currently appearing as a contestant on NBC’s The Apprentice and is a judge on The Voice Australia.
