A French woman is renting her breasts to same-sex couples wanting to breastfeed their babies.
The woman, who calls herself Cecilia232, is advertising her offer on E-Loue, a very popular French website where things and services are rented, the site’s name literally means Rent Online.
And her milk looks expensive as well: the 20-year-old nurse is demanding €20 ($27) an hour, €100 ($133) for a full day or €500 ($664) for a full week.
‘I’m really serious,’ she writes in the ad. ‘Gay male couples do not have a chance to breast-feed their babies – however, breast-feeding helps improve babies’ health.
‘Mother’s milk provides comprehensive nourishment. Contact me through this site – those who are not serious should stay away.’
Contacted by the French Press, E-Loue co-founder Alexander Woog said: ‘This lady is not doing something illegal.
‘In France, selling human milk is forbidden. But she’s not selling her milk in a bottle, she’s just offering a service.’
E-Loue made the headlines in France a couple of years ago, when some youngsters posted their offers as ‘friends for rent’.
The nurse’s offer comes after the pro- and anti-gay marriage marches of recent weeks.
France legalized same-sex marriage and gay adoption in May.
