Representatives of Pride London pick up the 'Marketing Campaign of the Year' award at last year's British LGBT Awards

Businesses are being invited to make submissions for next year’s British LGBT Awards.

The British LGBT Awards are produced by Square Peg Media, and were formerly known as the Out In The City/g3 magazine awards. The inaugural British LGBT Awards took place in April 2015 at the Landmark Hotel in London.

Corporate winners included Marriott Hotels (Brand of the Year), American Express’ Pride Network (Network Group of the Year) and Robert Kerse at Circle Housing (LGBT Diversity Champion).

The awards organizers are now urging those in the business world to submit nominations for next year’s awards. Award categories include:

  • Corporate Rising Star
  • Corporate Straight Ally
  • LGBT Network Group
  • Diversity Champion
  • Inspirational Role Model
  • Best Company/Employer

Nominations will be reduced to a shortlist by an expert panel. British LGBT Awards founder, Sarah Garrett said: ‘The British LGBT Awards highlight the very best in LGBT talent but importantly pay tribute to our all-important straight allies too. We are urging business leaders to nominate those who have made a difference in striving for equality and diversity in the workplace.’
