Sean Hayes, Ellen, Portia and more to co-host Pete Buttigieg fundraiser

Will & Grace star Sean Hayes and talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres are among the powerful LGBTI celebrities co-hosting a fundraiser for Pete Buttigieg.

The event will take place later this month at the Hancock Park home of Kevin MacLellan, according to Variety. Kevin is chairman of global distribution and international at NBCUniversal.

Buttigieg, who is openly gay, is running for the Democratic Party nomination in the 2020 United States presidential election.

It will take place on 25 July 2019 and also be hosted by MacLellan’s husband, Brian Curran. Sean’s husband Scott Icenogle will also be in attendance, as will Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi.

How much is a ticket to Buttigieg fundraiser?

Tickets to the event are still available and cost between $500 and $2,800. The top priced ticket includes a photo with Buttigieg.

The Hollywood event was said to have been canceled last month after a police shooting in South Bend, Indiana, where Buttigieg serves as Mayor.

As well as Sean, Ellen and Portia, MacLellan’s fundraiser will be co-hosted by actress Chelsea Handler. Horrible Bosses actor Jason Bateman will also attend.

Glee and Pose creator Ryan Murphy was also due to host a fundraiser for Buttigieg that was canceled last month, according to reports.

It was recently reported that Firework singer Katy Perry and her husband, the actor Orlando Bloom, were also co-hosting a fundraiser for the politician.
