Pier Morgan pulled out a doll of Caitlyn Jenner pre-transition during an interview and asked her what had changed.
The TV personality was filming an episode of Morgan’s series, Life Stories.
The Sun reports Morgan pulled out a doll of Jenner pre-transition.
He waved the doll around and said: ‘You were an all-American, 6ft 2in muscle-bound guy. When you look at that guy what do you think?’
Jenner remained calm. She replied: ‘Good for him. There is a lot more to this story than just that.’
Morgan did not stop there however.
He then added: ‘How does your physique compare now to what it did then? Obviously, certain areas we know about…’
‘People die over these issues’
Jenner was understandably offended by his comments.
She explains it is ‘disrespectful’ to ask such invasive questions about a trans person.
‘You made a comment there and that’s why you would get in trouble, OK?’ Jenner told Morgan.
‘You said, ‘Certain areas’ – that, to a trans person, is disrespectful,
‘It’s not funny. It’s life. It is a very serious part of my life. I take that very seriously and so out of respect to myself and the community, it’s not something that you joke about.’
Jenner then finished by telling Morgan: ‘People die over these issues. It’s not a joke.’
The Sun reports Morgan responded simply: ‘Point taken.’
