With 2017 coming to an end, you may start to notice that you’ve seen RuPaul on TV a lot this year – and not just on Drag Race.

RuPaul has made cameo appearances in several popular shows this year, including Comedy Central’s Broad City, HBO’s Animals, TruTV’s Adam Ruins Everything, Netflix’s Bojack Horseman, and more.

Here’s a list of all seven shows RuPaul made cameos in this year.

2 Broke Girls

In January 2017, RuPaul made a guest appearance on CBS’s 2 Broke Girls.

During season 6 episode 12, or the episode titled ‘And The Riverboat Runs Through It,’ RuPaul is seen playing himself out of drag, shopping at a convenience store.

Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) approach him to gush about how much they love Drag Race. And Mama Ru gives them some real advice – don’t give up. Then, he offers the girls a ride to Texas.

Animals.

In April 2017, RuPaul played a villain.

The HBO animated series Animals is about the lives of animals living in New York City.

In season 2 of the show, we learn more about the humans living among the animals. RuPaul plays the evil Dr. Labcoat of the corporation Pesci Co.

During the show’s only live-action episode, aptly titled ‘Humans,’ we see RuPaul control all of the consumer products used by the humans in the city. In fact, he’s also behind the man-made Virus X, which was created just so the company could sell the cure, The Green Pill.

Girlboss

On six episodes of the since-cancelled Netflix show Girlboss, RuPaul plays the role of Lionel.

Based on the true story of clothing brand NastyGal, the show follows Sophia as she dips her toes into entrepreneurship.

RuPaul’s Lionel is Sophia’s witty neighbor.

Then and Now with Andy Cohen

The premise behind this Bravo limited series is talk show host Andy Cohen recalling famous pop culture moments from the years 1989, 1994, and 2000. In each episode, he speaks with different guests about the most influential trends of those years.

In one episode, Cohen spoke with RuPaul about the show Married With Children. And we learn that RuPaul has the hots for Al Bundy, the father on the show.

Bojack Horseman

On season four of Netflix’s popular animated series, Bojack Horseman, RuPaul plays the queen of a subterranean group of ant people.

In episode 7, titled ‘Underground,’ the lives of the ants are threatened due to fracking, which causes Mr. Peanutbutter’s house to sink into the earth.

Unfortunately, a clip of this cameo isn’t readily available online.

Broad City

In the current season of Comedy Central’s hit show Broad City, RuPaul plays the recurring role of Marcel, the manager of a fancy Japanese restaurant called Sushi Mamba.

Ilana Wexler (played by comedian Ilana Glazer) nabs a waitressing job at Sushi Mamba, where RuPaul teaches her how to be a ‘queen of mean.’

Adam Ruins Everything

TrueTV’s Adam Ruins Everything is a comedy show that sheds light on false trends and beliefs which pervade American culture.

RuPaul was featured in 2 episodes in the series’ second season. Playing Gil, a friend of Adam’s, RuPaul couldn’t care less about how Adam met his girlfriend, Melinda.
