Can You Ever Forgive Me? nominated for 3 Oscars, including Best Actress

Can You Ever Forgive Me? has scored three Oscar nominations.

The film is a biopic of lesbian biographer Lee Israel, played in the film by Melissa McCarthy.

McCarthy received a Best Actress nod for her role in the film.

Richard E. Grant also received a nomination for Supporting Actor, as announced in LA this morning.

The film’s third and final nomination was for Adapted Screenplay.

The Favourite leads the charge for the film with an LGBTI plot point with the most nominations, with 10 in total. Stars Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz all received nominations.
