Carly Rae Jepsen just dropped the track and music video for her new song Party For One.

The Call Me Maybe singer posted to Twitter yesterday (31 October) in anticipation for the single drop today.

She tweeted a series of teaser videos, along with the captions: ‘Back on my beat’ and ‘Cause you don’t care about me’.

She then posted two more teaser videos with the captions: ‘Making love to myself’ and ‘I’m not over this, but I’m trying’.

Then for the main event today, she dropped the music video:

The music video features gay ex-Gaga dancer Mark Kanemura dancing in his underwear alone in a hotel room.

It also features a same-sex female couple and rainbow Absolut vodka.

LGBTI people took to Twitter to express their instant love for the pop anthem.

One social media user wrote: ‘The reason that we call November 1st All Saints Day is in honour of Carly Rae Jepsen, who on this day ushered in a new age of blessings by releasing Party For One.’

Another tweeted: ‘THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SONG LOVE YOU SO MUCH.’

Carly Rae Jepsen is a longtime vocal ally of the LGBTI community.

In her hit-song Call Me Maybe, she features a guy she’s trying to get the attention of in the music video. But the guy turns out to be gay.

Jepsen also regularly performs at Pride events around the world.
