- He jokes his princess alter-ego is ‘jacked’ and ‘a boss’ as he promotes new book The One and Only Sparkella.
Channing Tatum has never been insecure about his masculinity – and now he’s proved it again by dressing up as a princess.
The actor donned an apron, fairy wings and a princess eye mask topped with a coronet, while surrounded by unicorns.
The 40-year-old dad-of-one is promoting his first children’s book – The One and Only Sparkella.
And he said he got his inspiration from spending time in his daughter Everly’s bedroom during lockdown.
Tatum wrote: ‘Guys, I don’t know about you but things got a little weird for me in quarantine. I ended up locking myself in my seven-year-old daughter’s room.
‘And I ended up finding my inner child. So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me.’
‘She’s jacked. And a boss’
Tatum’s book The One and Only Sparkella is due out next May.
It tells the story of a little girl named Ella. She loves glitter and sparkles but when she starts school, her classmates tease her about it and that makes her feel self-conscious. However her dad helps her to regain confidence and be herself.
Friend and fellow American actor Dax Shepard was quick to send his appreciation for the pic.
He joked: ‘My goodness brother, there must have also been a really nice set of weights in that room! That little princess right there can move some weight.’
And Tatum joked back: ‘Hahaha she does. She’s jacked. And a boss.’
Magic Mike and White House Down star Tatum is an LGBT+ ally and has always been confident of his masculinity.
He’s previously admired thirsty pics posted by Chris Hemsworth and said he ‘absofuckinglutely’ got lost in gay actor Matt Bomer’s stunning eyes. His love of bromance got even saucier when he invented ‘The Dick Graze’ as a way to greet male friends.
Indeed, he even let P!nk tie him up and hit him with a riding crop for her S&M-tinged Beautiful Trauma music video.
But he also loves dressing up as well as stripping off. And in January he posted for a photo with his then girlfriend Jessie J, dressed in unicorn hats.
