Charlize Theron has revealed she ‘took a dip in the lady pond’ when she was younger.
The actress, currently starring in action flick Atomic Blonde, made the admission on – where else? – Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
The gay chat show host and the film star got onto the subject after a viewer called in to ask Charlize ‘Why was it so important for your Atomic Blonde character be bisexual?’
She answered: ‘Why not? It’s so strange we talk so much about it. It should be normalized by now. It’s something I feel is not represented enough in cinema.
‘I feel when you make movies, if you’re gonna hold that mirror up and reflect society, you should reflect society.’
To this, cheeky Andy replied by asking: ’Have you ever swam in the lady pond?’
Charlize answered: ‘When I was young, yes. When you’re young you’re just kind of exploring it all. But it was pretty clear that I really like dudes.’
We adore your honesty, Charlize.
In other Theron news, the star has thrown her hat in the ring to play the next James Bond, kind of.
However, the Oscar-winner has added one crucial caveat to the offer: she’d need a female love interest.
She made the admission at the weekend on Jimmy Fallon’s show.
‘I would need a Bond lady, a Bond girl…I’m just saying!’ she said.
However, the star backtracked slightly a day later saying ‘I’m in favor of having an Agent 007 that is female, but I leave that for now for Daniel [Craig] or Idris [Elba].’

The star of course has a long history of playing strong women in action roles. As well as Atomic Blonde, there were her characters in 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and also 2012’s Prometheus.
Furthermore, she won the Oscar in 2003 for her role as lesbian serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
Meanwhile, in one widely-discussed Atomic Blonde scene, she makes out with Sofia Boutella.
