Cher’s bizarre new song is the catchiest thing you’ll hear all day

Cher

We love Cher. Not only for her amazing back catalogue, her brave fashion choices or constant trolling of Donald Trump on Twitter, but also because she still has the ability to surprise us with her music.

Case in point is new track Ooga Boo, which marks something of a comeback for the 71-year-old. Her last new material was 2013’s Closer To The Truth album – her first new studio album in 12 years.

Ooga Boo is a short offering to accompany children’s Netflix animated series Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh (a spin-off featuring two characters from Dreamworks’ film Home).

Chercophonie

Cher features in the series as alien rock diva, Chercophonie.

The trippy, electro anthem features empowering lyrics encouraging people to embrace their uniqueness: ‘You go be you / Find your ooga boo.’

Watch the gloriously psychedelic video below.

Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh is streaming on Netflix now.
