Christies sells Andy Warhol’s hottest male nudes

Over 100 of Andy Warhol’s steamiest photographs, prints and drawings are under the hammer at Christie’s – and there is just one more day to get your bid in.

The world-famous auctioneer is conducting an online sale of the legendary pop artist’s works, studying the male form and male nudes.

The sale marks LGBTI Pride Month in June – but ends tomorrow (10 June).

Warhol was openly gay but said when interviewed in 1980, just a few years before his death, that he was still a virgin.

However he frequently discussed how his sexuality impacted his work. He repeatedly created depictions of naked men and some of his films premiered in gay porn cinemas.

In fact the first works he submitted to a fine art gallery were homoerotic male nude drawings and were rejected for being too gay.

You can see the auction here, but the site is restricted to over 18s due to its explicit nature.
