City mayor attends first ever Bristol Pride Gala Ball

Mayor of Bristol George Ferguson presents the award for Best Employer at the Bristol Pride Awards

Bristol’s first ever Pride Gala Ball, hosted by Bristol Pride, took place in the UK city last weekend.

The event took place at the Marriott Royal Hotel last Saturday (31 October).

Attendees included George Ferguson the Mayor of Bristol as well as Clare Campion-Smith, The Right Honorable Lord Mayor of Bristol, as well as representatives of The University of the West of England and businesses such as law firm Burges Salmon.

The event also included the first ever Bristol Pride Awards, which were voted for by members of the public.

The Best Employer award was won by Bristol cinema The Watershed, while the Most Friendly LGBT+ Visitor Attraction was won by science center At-Bristol.

Attendees also enjoyed a three course meal as well as a masquerade ball after the awards ceremony.
