Cologne's Pride Festival

Things are heating up in Cologne in July, with the return of the Sexy Pride Festival – expected to attract over 20,000 people to one of Germany’s best-loved cities.

Running over four days (7–10 July 2017), 30 DJs will be providing the soundtrack for 60 hours of dance mayhem. All the party options are available – indoors, outdoors, day, and night.

Each year the Pride Festival in Cologne has been steadily building its profile, but 2017 takes it to a whole new level with a collaboration with Pride Circuit Cologne, serving up Greenkomm after-hour party as well as NaughtyControl.

Here’s a run-down of what you can look forward to:

Friday 7 July

Collect your festival armband at the kick-off event at the MGW store, then make your way to the Dos Mas dance stage in downtown Cologne – the plaza in front of the Gürzenich concert hall will have the music turned up from 6PM.

The official opening party is Hell & Heaven, presented by It’s Party. This will be bringing the heat of Brazil to the heart of Cologne. The DJ line-up includes: Suri; Danny Verde; Rodolfo Bravat; VMC; and Moussa.

Saturday 8 July

Saturday night is the official main party – Sexy.

Held at the massive Bootshaus venue grounds, you’ll be able to explore Sexy Pride Land – four floors of dance, indoor and outdoor areas, surrounded by an amusement park, food stands, and chill-out areas.

The DJ line-up includes: Micky Friedmann; Sharon O’Love; Saeed Ali; and D’Alessandro.

Sunday 9 July

Continuing the Saturday night vibe well into Sunday, there will be shuttle buses transporting everyone from the Bootshaus directly to the Nachtflug club for the Greenkomm after-party.

DJ line-up includes: Francesco Pagano; Ben Manson; Mike Jayy; Jesko; and Skippo.

Sunday afternoon sees the city taken over by the Cologne Pride Parade – around one million spectators and participants are expected to flood the streets.

With the Pride Parade duties done, Sunday night’s party is NaughtyControl at Diamonds. Providing the music will be DJs including: Chris Bekker; Emrock; and DJRW.

Monday 9 July

Finish things off with a splash at Babylon Pool Party. Pool parties don’t get much better than this – held at Babylon Sauna everyone rocking out in their speedos, to the beats of Rony Golding, Sultonic and Samuel D. Tickets are only available on the door and will sell out quickly. Doors open at 9AM, and this is one party you don’t want to be late for.
