Legends of Tomorrow producer Phil Klemmer has confirmed character John Constantine will be bisexual.
The character will feature in multiple episodes in the third series of the DC show.
The first episode of the new series aired today (10 October) on The CW.
Phil Klemmer made the announcement in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
He explained: ‘As for the character of Constantine, we knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends.’
‘It’s canon. Deal with it.’
Matt Ryan will reprise the role after playing the character in Arrow and the show about the character, Constantine.
The character of John Constantine was queer in the original DC comics.
He wasn’t bisexual in his first two on-screen appearances and so fans are happy he’s being made bisexual in Legends of Tomorrow.
Ryan will also voice Constantine in a CW Seed animated series about the character.
John constantine is bisexual. It's canon. Deal with it.
