Darren Criss remembers Glee co-star Cory Monteith

Glee co-star Darren Criss was a guest on the late night talk show hosted by Conan O’Brien, and talked about the recent loss of Cory Monteith.

The actor died last month after using heroin and drinking alcohol, according to autopsy and toxicological analysis.

‘We’re picking up the pieces now,’ Criss said to O’Brien. ‘Cory … was a really funny guy, had a great sense of humor and he loved life, and he always took care of his friends and wanted his friends to be happy, so it’s only right that we, you know, try to start and smile again, try and laugh again. It’s something that he would’ve wanted.’

In the show’s upcoming fifth season, which begins at the end of September, the third episode will be a tribute to Monteith and his character Finn Hudson.

‘He will be severely missed, but I’m so happy that a guy like him got to touch as many lives as he did, while we all were lucky enough to have him,’  Criss said to O’Brien.
