Donald Trump Jr. mocks trans people, makes #MeToo joke at CPAC

Donald Trump Jr. makes fun of transgender people and #MeToo at CPAC

As a panelist at a talk during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Donald Trump Jr. made fun of transgender people as well as joked about #MeToo.

What happened?

Trump was speaking with Liberty University President Jerry Falwell and his wife, Becki Falwell, when the topic of the Falwell’s new granddaughter led the group to discuss trans people.

Becki Falwell discussed her granddaughter’s name, Reagan, and how ‘presidential’ it is. Trump Jr. made a comment about how Trump would also be a presidential name. Falwell said that Trump isn’t the ‘most feminine’ name. Trump Jr. joked that they could ‘take a page out of the liberal playbook’ and ‘identify how we want’ regardless of if a name is masculine or feminine.

‘By the way, she is a daughter, she’s our granddaughter, and we’re raising her as a girl,’ Becki Falwell stated. ‘We’re not letting her have a choice.’

With that, the crowd at the conservative convention cheered.

‘There will be outrage tomorrow that you decided for her,’ Trump Jr. replied.

‘It’s God — God makes the choice what babies are going to be. God decided she would be a girl,’ Falwell retorted.

Jerry Falwell concurred, adding that their granddaughter carries a doll while boys carry guns. ‘That’s not something you teach them,’ he said.

‘Hashtag me too,’ Trump Jr. snidely said into the microphone.

This is not the first time Donald Trump Jr. has made fun of transgender people. Back in January, he shared a transphobic meme on Instagram.
