RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11 queen Silky Nutmeg Ganache is under fire for an Islamophobic remark.
During an interview with Chicago’s T Rex at Roscoe’s viewing party, Silky referenced the popular VH1 show’s first ever Muslim drag queen, Mercedes Iman Diamond.
‘Behind the scenes,’ Silky started. ‘Making the promo shoot – I said this was going to be the shadiest season, the fakest season.’
She added: ‘Then Mercedes walked up and I said: “This season’s going to blow up!”‘
Soju laughed and said: ‘Wait until the reunion, girl!’
But it’s clear drag queen T Rex isn’t having any of it. She turned to the audience, with a look of shock on her face.
