Drive-by drag queen serves Australia style

From the characters of Priscilla Queen of the Desert to the delectable Courtney Act, we love us some Australian drag queens.

We can’t get enough of the accents to top off the wigs and the legs.

If photos of Sydney Mardi Gras are anything to go by, life is anything but a drag when it comes to Australia’s LGBTI scene.

Gay Star News reader Jason Smith and his partner sent us a postcard from Sydney as they sped past a gay bar.

‘We were driving home after a night out and went past The Gay Bar on Oxford Street.

‘As we drove we saw an amazing drag queen come out and hail a taxi still dressed in full drag.’

Anyone know who this drag queen is? We’d love to get to know her!

A quick internet search reveals she was standing outside the three-story The Gay Bar on Oxford Street, owned by Stephen Craddock and Nelson De Sousa, directors of event production company In the Dark.

Jason tells us he had other plans for his trip: ‘We were hoping to get married here in Sydney but sadly don’t have enough time this visit.

‘We’ll be back again next year to tie the knot. Just doubt we’ll be walking down the aisle looking as fabulous as she did.’

We doubt that Jason, but be sure to send pictures!
