Dustin Lance Black has left the UK – and fiance Tom Daley – to resume work on the ABC miniseries When We Rise.

He is clearly feeling better after last week’s health scare that required a trip to the hospital.

The Oscar winning screenwriter posted a photo of himself and his Olympian fiance today with this message: ‘Dear UK, please take good care of this one while I’m away finishing #WhenWeRise. Sad to have to go so soon.’

Black had taken a break from work on the epic miniseries about the history of the gay rights movement to attend the Rio Olympics where Daley won the bronze medal in the men’s 10m platform synchronized dive event. Daley also competed in the 10m platform individual event but did not qualify for the finals.

But instead of going home, Black went to a hospital and tweeted a photo along with this message:
‘Seems too much travel, work and excitement has landed me in this fine predicament.’

Black, 42, isn’t sharing why he had to go to the hospital but did let his Twitter followers know a few days later that he was home and in good hands.

In the documentary Diving For Gold, which focused on Daley’s Olympic dreams, the couple opened up about their appreciation for each other.

‘It’s really amazing to be in love with somebody who you also admire and can be dazzled by,’ Black said. ‘It makes me want to be a better person. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.’

Daley says of his fiance: ‘It means everything to be able to be engaged to Lance. He has been so supportive of me. I have Lance to thank for so many things … I don’t think I would be diving if I hadn’t met Lance.’ –
