Finding Dory will feature Disney’s first transgender character, Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed.
The movie will include a stingray that’s ‘becoming sting-Rhonda’, the lesbian star said.
DeGeneres was asked in an interview with USA Today about whether there was a lesbian couple in the film.
The trailer’s fleeting depiction of two women sparked reports the movie would feature Disney/Pixar’s first LGBTI couple.

She replied: ‘I don’t mind the question and I don’t know if it’s true or not, or if she has a bad short haircut. Who knows if she is a lesbian?
‘But actually I’ll tell you a little secret. There’s a stingray that’s becoming sting-Rhonda, so there’s a trans sting in the movie.’
