Ellen gets Facebook ‘exec’ to apologize to drag queens – by name

Ellen DeGeneres told the audience of her daytime talk show on Tuesday (7 October) that she had asked Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to appear in order to make an apology.

The apology was for the social media giant’s ‘Real Names’ policy which had the drag community in an uproar before it was reversed last week.

Drag queens and others can now continue to use their professional names on their Facebook pages.

Since Zuckerman couldn’t make it, DeGeneres dug up someone she claimed was a vice president named Josh Blackenship to apologize to the drag queens by name.

And the names she provided included Angela Mansbury, Ima Tucker, Lucille Balls, Elizabeth Twerkins, Amanda Playwith, Ivanna Humpalot, Tess Tosterone and Ophjelia Bottoms.

‘Blackenship’ could barely spit out the last name between laughter: ‘Wilma Fingerdoo.’

Of course, DeGeneres had him say that name three times.

She later joked: ‘Be here next week when the president of Craig’s List apologizes to pimps!’
