Can you guess who this unrecognizable Eurovision diva is?

Conchita Wurst's iconic brown locks have vanished, bringing in a platinum blond hairdo and beard

Drag queen and Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst is completely unrecognizable in her new music video Hit Me, and fans’ jaws dropped.

The Austrian star won the Eurovision song contest back in 2014 with Rise Like a Phoenix.

Five years on, Wurst released new song Hit Me last week (15 March) revealing a new look.

Gone are the long brown locks and diva attitude, in is a platinum blond beard and choppy hairstyle combo.

Moreover, the album cover art bares only ‘Wurst’ in the title.

‘Conchita’ is nowhere to be found.

‘Butch look’

It’s safe to say fans were shocked about Wurst’s new vibe, with many taking to Facebook to praise the performer.

‘Unbelievable transformation, reminds me of David Bowie,’ one Facebook user said.

Another chimed in: ‘Love the new look! You are like the modern day Madonna!

‘Changing style and looks so easily and this time it is SPOT ON!’

‘That new look is wonderful, Mr Chameleon,’ one more added.

Not the first time

Wurst, real name Tom Neuwirth, is no stranger to shaking up his look.

Last year, he went bottle blonde to play Maria Von Trapp in the Sound of Music.

Moreover, after his Eurovision success, Neuwirth said he had achieved everything with the Conchita persona, so she’ll have to go.

And her creator made it very clear he wasn’t joking: ‘I have to kill her’, he said.

But it’s not just the diva’s looks that grab headlines.

Wurst has long campaigned for better HIV awareness, especially since he was outed as living with HIV against his will last year.

‘I hope to build up courage and take another step against the stigmatization of people who have become infected by HIV,’ he said.

‘I’m well … and I’m stronger, more motivated and liberated than ever. Thank you for your support!’
