Twitter is far from impressed about the fake Shawn Mendes coming out tweet.
A photoshopped tweet went viral after fans believed it was their idol coming out as gay.
They even started the hashtag #ShawnComingOut.

Then people came to their senses and realized it was a fake.
Once they realized the truth, they stopped being so happy.
People are saying people should leave Shawn alone, especially after clarifying that he wasn’t gay in a Snapchat video last year.
One person said it was ‘plain rude and disrespectful’ to make a fake tweet about someone’s sexuality.
Another asked people to stop sharing the fake tweet altogether.
