Dance music icon Fatboy Slim will perform at this year’s Brighton Pride, for the LGBTI festival’s 25th anniversary, it’s been confirmed.
The Brighton-residing DJ, also known as Norman Cook, is just one of the big names lined up for this year’s installment, with another to be released tomorrow.
The star, known for hits such as Praise You and Right Here, Right Now, will take to the stage in the Wild Fruit Dance Big Top tent in Preston Park on the Saturday.
He previously provided the soundtrack to Brighton Pride in 2012.
‘There are many reasons I love my home city,’ he commented. ‘Our tolerance and encouragement of alternative lifestyles is one of my favourites.’
‘It is a pleasure therefore for me to join in celebration our LGBT community in the fruitiest way I know how.’
Taking place on Saturday 1 August, the theme of this year’s celebration will be ‘Carnival of Diversity’ – tickets are available now.
